Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vanta Collective LLC ("Vanta Collective LLC," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use vantajax.com (the "Site"). We keep things simple because we keep very little.

1. What We Collect

If you are a visitor (browsing the directory without an account):

We do not collect any personally identifiable information.
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider, Vercel. We do not access or store these logs ourselves.

If you submit a business suggestion:

The information you provide in the form (business name, location, notes).
No account or email is required to submit a suggestion.

If you create an owner account:

Your email address (used for authentication and notifications).
Your full name, if provided.
Business information associated with listings you claim or manage.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

Review and publish business suggestions in the directory.
Authenticate business owners and manage their listings.
Send transactional emails related to your account (claim status, dashboard access).
Improve the platform and address support inquiries.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

3. Third-Party Services

Vanta Collective LLC uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has their own privacy policy:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your account data and business data are stored in Supabase. supabase.com/privacy
Vercel — web hosting and deployment. Standard access logs may be retained by Vercel per their policy. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Mapbox — map display on business detail pages. Mapbox may collect anonymized usage data when the map is rendered. mapbox.com/legal/privacy
Google — used for Google OAuth login (optional) and Google Places data enrichment in the admin panel. Google's data practices apply to OAuth sign-in flows. policies.google.com/privacy
Resend — transactional email delivery for account notifications. Recipient email addresses are passed to Resend for delivery only. resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

4. Cookies & Local Storage

VantaJax uses browser local storage to remember your light/dark mode preference (vanta-theme). This data never leaves your device.

If you sign in, Supabase sets a session cookie to keep you authenticated. This cookie is necessary for account functionality and is cleared when you sign out.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

Business suggestions — retained in our database indefinitely for directory management purposes. Rejected suggestions are kept for internal review history.
Owner accounts — retained as long as you have an account. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
Session data — expires automatically per Supabase's session management settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information (owners can do this directly from their dashboard).
Delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
Withdraw your consent to our use of your data at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at vantajacksonville@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

VantaJax is not directed at children under 13. Vanta Collective LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
